Jebus Modules
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Create a module to use Jebus functions as a module that can be synced to a group
Key Features, on top of normal Jebus stuff:

  • Allow defend module to be linked to a group, and have it reapplied once the group spawns
  • Other modules if possible. Although it might be limited to a predefined set of modules
  • Easy and stable way of using murk loadout with that

Issues:
Modules would have to be defined in the preset. Going against the idea of the framework.
As a middle way, we could just put skeleton modules into the preset, and have the framework add the actual functionality.
Could also put a default implemention in the preset, so the module would be usable without framework files. But then we'd be maintaining two places.

I personally don't have an issue with adding modules for the framework to use. @Walker and I once discussed a similar idea to simplify stuff.

So do you want to hold on BMF 1.8 to make these modules ahead? Makes sense to make it a lot easier for the mission makers transitioning.

Ideally i guess we just see how it goes and if one gets done before the other we can make a decision?
